mom was about 3 inches and dad was 3 1/2 inches first time they bred. they are now 4-5 inches. mom turnes almost black when she is carrying eggs. and stays that way till after the babies are gone. they do this wiggleing kinda dance when they are courting. its really awsome to watch. should have taken a video. oh well next time.
oh yeah they are in a 55 gallon by themselves.

Yeah I love the colour that they turn when they get into breeding mode.
It seems that mine permanently stay that way at the moment.

Good they're alone in the 55, mine have to share their tank. So I don't know who kept eating the babies.
 
well there seem to be less of them today... hard to tell. i moved about half of them into my 20 gallon and put the mean a** convict to the larger jd tank. i KNOW she wont kill them!
