my jack dempsey is acting weird

my JD wont eat and she always like shakes her head she just sits in the corner like shes depressed any1 know whats goin on

shes in a 30gal all alone but shes only like 4inchs

i set up the tank maybe 2wks ago and ran it for a day b4 i put her in it she wnt eat shrimp or flakes she chews on pellets then spits them out

So, guess the tank wasn't cycled before you added her then. I suggest you go to your local fish store and get a test kit for nitrites, nitrates, and ammonia. Test your water and post the parameters here.

What kind of shrimp? Market,frozen,freeze dried?
Have you seen any white stringy poop?

Do a big water change ASAP. The tank is surely full of ammonia and nitrites right now. Get some Prime when you get your test kit.
