Give him plenty of room to grow, feed him plenty of high quality food, & do a LOT of huge partial water changes. (I do minimum 75% 1X per week.) That'll do it!

I had one that had to get rehomed at 8" they aren't friendly and they will demolish most fish. You'd need a monster tank in my experience

Gotcha. Planning on add him/her (jag) in a 125gallon with other juvenile cichlids then moving them to my 350gsllon tank
