My jardini has gotten dropeye I assume from flinging himself into the sides of the tank as he has done on several occasions...He has gone from fierce as they come and the undisputed boss of the tank.... to a wussy who hides in the corner of the tank and is scared of my geophagus half its size.
physically he looks fine and when feeding time comes he will swim out of his corner to get some food.
hes been acting like this for over 3 weeks now and its really annoying I have a 6 foot tank and am used to him cruising the entire length of it.

p.s the dropeye is actually quite abit worse than in this photo.

:confused:i thought jars don't get DE:confused:

i'm not sure how much the DE has to do w/the wussy behavior ur jar is having...cuz slivers live fine w/de, i would assume, if jars get that, they would be fine too. but if ur jar's de is from the damage it received from crashing into tank walls...then that might have something to do w/the weird behavior.
anyhow, don't just assume that ur jar isn't swimmin is due to the de. check ur water perimeter, bump up the temp a little, see if internal bacterial infection has anything to do w/it. good luck w/it

I doubt it's the DE, he is probably sick from some sort of sickness i would do what blazin_dragon says :/ btw nice colors on your jar sure makes up for the DE

Neither did I. Could you post some more pix of it? Better angles.

What's the temp in your tank... Cold can cause DE, and makes your fish passive, or wussy as you called

This is a new one, colder temps causing DE. Maybe I'll through a blanket in my tank so the fishys can get warm.
