In addition to the price, the size makes it not convenient for use in a lot of occasions. And if you wanted power zoom, you'd be carrying a bagful of just lenses! That was why I opted for a power-zoom 28mm wide-angle point&shoot WITH nice video recording capability of 30fps. However, when it comes to taking pictures of fish and kids, dSLR cameras really rule :headbang2
