I don't think keeping an arapaima is smart period lol they get so big and strong you easily need a 1000+ gallons to house them

Eaxctly, my statement is apply to the OP.
His so confidence about his few months old aro gender that even a real scientist can not tell the fish gender at that size, on top of that the OP don't even know the different between Aussie species he keeping.

So my newly acquired Arowana a.k.a "thumper" for obvious reasons likes to thump the lid when netting out and eating food, is doing really well looking healthy. Anyone have suggestions for the best variety diet considering he doesn't want pellets Loves the freeze dried Krill. I am not not fond of live feeders due to the obvious potential for transmission of disease parasites etc.

Also any response to the statements I've heard on YouTube claiming that Arawana can live comfortably lifelong in 125 gallon tank.

Get it on market prawn, you can stuff hikari stick or whatever pellet brand you want, you can soak market prawn in liquid vitamin and feed your Aro. You would need to stop feeding for few days or week, when it hungry enough it will eat anything.

I disagree with that statement I had my silver in a 125 and eventually it was clear I needed to upgrade and my arowana was alone if the arowana is alone I'll say they can live comfortably in a 180 maybe but definitely not in a 125. Also you can feed him crickets, beef heart, frozen silversides as well.
