Hello, I've been registered for awhile but haven't posted often. My computer was on a hiatus for a little bit. Now that it is back up and running I thought I'd share a few pics of my Jack Dempsey. I think it's a female, but I'm not the expert that so many of you are. I can't figure out how to post the pictures without it breaking up my text so I'll put the pictures in the next post. Thanks for looking.
 
she petty, how old is she? I am guessing little over a year.
 
do not see as a male mike but I could be wrong.
 
agreed I would expect more spangling on the cheeks of a female but appears to still be young.

also with out a male present females cheeks will not get big and flashy as they do with a male around.
 
Thanks, and yes you are pretty close on the age. My buddy had her and he is the type that is always buying something new so when he gets overstocked I get to pick from his leftovers. I have personally been housing her for about 9 months and he only had her for about 5 months before that.
 
I could be wrong, I been so before but the utter lack of blue points towards a female. My girl is still young but even she has more blue present uploadfromtaptalk1393639138304.jpg

sounds about right. IMHO fins suggest a female for that age, expect longer trailers on the fins of a male and perhaps an inch or 2 larger and more pronounced four head.
