FYI, The convict type fish from Nicaragua are now considered a new species, Amtilantia siquia, so don't sell the fry as just regular convicts. Different species and should be kept pure. Ken

I've tried everything..Some batches yield more than others, but they just seem to die...

Yes.

"Convicts" vary a lot by geography...so without knowing the lineage, chances are that they're a mix.
