true, most male parrots are stale, what is it maybe 1% of male parrots are fertile... Anywho I hope these guys come out really cool! :)

Yooper, yea I originally got the FH in the pet depot. He was labeled "flowerhorn' I don't think they really even know what they have in what tanks. The fish they are "attempting" to sell for over a year now at $400-$500 haven't grown ANY and are far less attractive then my Jinkang. He was only about an inch and a half when I got him and was strictly labeled "flowerhorn" but I picked him up becuase he was cheaper then the others, and was just looking at the body shape and general pearls of him. His colors turned really ugly for a while, but now are pretty awesome. I'm hoping for bonzai Jinkangs, that is with the BP body would be awesome, I'd keep me a few, then naturally give a few away, and of course, try to make a bit of money as well, to pay for my overly spendy hobby

as per the fish depot standards, they would probably sell my darn JK for $6-700 lol...

Yeah, Mike told me the owner paid around 400.00++ for each pair (had then shipped in). I think they have 3 red texas left. They have no color and are even ugly for a texas. Still the same high price of 60.00. The africans are expensive too. I normaly sell my fry off at Roe for credit.
 
JK's are old breed, they never sell for more than 100 bucks, your is very nice.


I would love to have some of those fry
