My Job

i sure will visit if i am in WI and good to know about monster fish...just in case..

I am already growing out a little Chitala chitala like yours - I was inspired by your beautiful clownknife and how you take care of it. Wonderful fish.

i do stuff like this as a summer job.

Very interesting - want to come feed my fish while I intern this summer. The only thing that stinks about this job is that I cant leave. I used to go on spearfishing trips and now since getting this job the longest I have left the campus is 17 days.

I left once for five and a volunteer killed my "electric eel". I guess what it all comes down to is that you shouldnt trust anyone but yourself with your monsters. :)

Very cool! Now I understand the collection trip!

Yes sir - hoping it still happens. I had my boss/professor bail on me and another student. Im going to need at least two more people to make the trip feasible I feel. :(

Wow, so cool to find out who you are! My younger sister goes to UWSP, and I live over in the Fox Valley. You have an awesome alligator exhibit there on campus, how'd you manage to get them to build that?

I might have to visit and grab a group of my sisters friends for a tour one of these days, see all your monsters. [liking] your page on Facebook now.

Im sorry to hear that you might not be able to make it down here. As I said before, let me know if you need a guid for a day or anything, I would be glad. I also do stuff like this as a volunteer job, but at a nature center on the ocean with sea turtles and large saltwater tanks.

Awesome - feel free to identifiy yourself on the page. The aligator gar is part of the "vivarium". It is a separate entity.

That being said we are trying to get a large aquatic (fish) display on par with the gator exhibit or better. :D

Yea - Ill get down there next year at the latest. Just stinks to have people pull out at the last second like we did. At least over break I will get to build an 8'x4'x2' aquarium for our large coldwater species.
