my Kelberis spawned!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks for all the positive comments, unfortunately, i went away on a trip and when i got back last night, the pair wasn't guarding any mass of wrigglers... all 4 Kels were swimming together, and very hungry as they haven't been fed since Sunday...

hunted through the whole tank and found 4 wrigglers!!:nilly:

how old are the parents?

i've no idea on their age as i bought them at 9-10" in size... so probably still quite young?

sweet nice to see them getting there start anyway so did you keep track of water parameters, temp , last water change do you have drift wood in the tank releasing tannins , using r.o. you know what are you doing right to get them to spawn ?
i remember reading tounges right up on his monos he was using a flat slate rock on the bottom and off the top of my head i think he said in due time the eggs got stickier and remained where they layed them it was then when he had successful breeding either way congrats

i dun really track water parameters (except pH once awhile just to make sure it doesn't crash), my guide is as long as their appetite is good the water is decent... :grinno:

How is your ph and hardness? Very curious about that.

pH is about 6.6 -6.8, I'm not sure about hardness though... :shakehead

Did you manage to get the 4 wiggelers out alive? Hopefully they spawn again cause that is one hot pair!
