Polys look better on darker surfaces. Black, red, etc. Yours would probably show more variation of color if you switched.

Sorry for the late reply. What I meant was that if you add dark colored sand and driftwood in it and remove those marbles in there the envinronment would be more natural and your bichir will be more confortable and relaxed. HTH!
