Had this L95 a couple of months or so now. Its about 12" and like an alien in the tank. Fast becoming a favourite plec of mine although L25's remain my favourite.

What do you guys who keep them feed yours? I never see this one eat but hes chunky and must be getting something

I feed mine NLS Algaemax and Northfin carnivore wafers.. I also feed the tank w/ NLS or Dr. Bassleer pellets.. Mine have grown alot too and usually are out grazing when I feed the tank..

cheers mate

Ive tried target feeding but it has no chance with the other greedy fish in the tank, saying that it must be eating something as it looks full bellied

Yeah that happens in my Vieja bifasciata 210G tank.. I should try feeding the plecos in that tank when lights go out, but I never do.. I feed 1 time daily 4-5 days a week. Pellets / flakes and a few wafers in the front of the tank for the cichlids and tetras and more wafers in the back where the more reclusive plecos typically hide.. In my SA Cichlid tanks the cichlids and tetras usually attack the food up front, while the more reclusive plecos can feed on the wafers in the back.. But I have no idea how plecos eat in my vieja tanks.. 😉 I actually just replaced a slow growing L25 from my Vieja bifasciata tank w/ a fast growing L600 from my G. sveni tank hoping the L25 will be able to eat / grow more away from the greedy viejas..

Fortunately my L95s are in SA tanks and they're growing faster than any other pleco in my fishroom...

What fish are "the other greedy fish"? Looks like an Oscar in the background. Maybe you can try feeding when lights go out at night...?

It's in with an asian aro, peacock bass, 2 oscars, mini marble rays some catfish and gars

I feed quite heavily so I am hoping that hes getting a lot of that

He looks fuller bodied than when I got it 3 months ago I have just never seen it eat unlike the L25 which comes out and takes food when I feed the tank

Sounds like a nice set up..

In my Vieja bifa tank I worry more about over feeding the Bifas than underfed plecos.. I've had to cut the number of wafers I feed in half to keep the Bifas from over eating..

BTW here's some pics of one my L095s1000007618.jpg1000007608.jpg
