My large black piranha....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
only in the wild--- a rhombeus doesnt do well with anything in the home aquarium--- he has a bunch of neons to play with and thats it... he struggles catching them so they last but sooner or later they will be food-

hell no!!!!!!!!!!!:nilly: (haha i said it ,even though we established it already)

no ,pirahnas dont tolerate any tank mates. Some people allow tetras some times black skirt tetras becuz the rhom doesnt even bother chasin them becuz of how fast they are.

Stunning rhom and very nice size. I would be shocked if it was indeed the largest Venezuelan in the US. Nonetheless very stunning.

He has many more years left in him, especially with the good care you put into him! Keep the pictures coming and welcome to MFK!

well, in all acuality it wasnt me who put the claim of the largest on him... i was doubtful at the time, BUT since talking to the different exporters on the boards they are all in agreement that he is the largest "known" to be out of Ven..... vinnys are pretty rare to begin with- there was one brought in a few years back that may have been a few cm's larger but he died in that west coast(sacramento) heat wave last summer.... other than mine there is only one other known close to 12"--- again, not my claim but after looking into it there is a very good chance that he is the one? and i guess he will be until someone proves differently..... thanks for the compliments guys-
