my latest craigslist purchase / comment my stocking

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice but it needs a background and a crenicichla regani!:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2
beautiful tank:drool: i wish my fish would breed.

i'd say 6 or more would be good :D
thanks for the note on the substrate - will definitely have to look into that at one point

i would personally take out the gymno as they aren't suited for long term exposure in warm waters. i had mine in unheated tanks and the temperature stayed in the 60F regions during the time i had them.

i would also attach that java fern on some wood or something... they shouldn't be stuck in the substrate like that

thanks for the info on the gymno. i've read that they need a winter period so maybe i'll put him on his own when it cools down. right now all my tanks are in the 80s without any help from a heater.

the java fern isnt buried it just has some rocks in its roots weighing it down; the tuber is fully exposed to the water

i don't know much about pike cichlids would that go well in a community?

if you can find a Crenicichla regani, they will work very will in that community, they are very peaceful, i have one with angels and serpae tetras and it doesnt mess with any other fish

i really like that substrate you got there - do they have darker colors?
where did you get that and would you mind sharing how much it costs?

you should definitely try and get schools of the satanopercas

yo ewok, I had three bags of that 3M, buff, for sale a week ago. Sold now, but its really cool stuff, great color/texture.

Nice pick up!

I also got my 55 gallon off of Craigslist, came with the stand in very good condition for $100.00.
I have 1 Oscar, 1 Pleco and 1 Black Convict. in my 55 gallon. I also in a 10 gallon have 1 pair of Black Convicts with 1 Pleco.
