My Latest Video: DIY-Brine Shrimp Hatchery

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, I watched the video, and I'm not ***... but I'm kind of in love with you. Okay, that's a bit of an exageration, but great video. It was just so layed back. In formative too. Will the shrimp breed and whatnot, or do you just keep buying more.

You can grow Brine Shrimp up to full size using yeast as food (I think). They will breed and produce more eggs, but its much quicker and cheaper to just buy more eggs.

I don't have much experience with growing brine shrimp, as their nutritional value to fish drops as they age.

That's a pretty decent setup, I definitely like the suction cup idea.
You seem to mix them alot thicker than I do, but I raise them through adulthood and keep em breeding for a while. I have a 5 gallon bucked that I just started yesterday, if anyone's interested, I could try to keep a log.

;) That is a awesome Idea, the seal. I would have never have thought about that... but no check valve just incase the water ruins your pump... not that it's that important, lol, those pumps are like 5 bucks from pets paradise

I don't usually use a check valve with the set up (although I should!). I make sure that my pump is on higher ground than the water-line, but this method isn't foolproof :lol2:
