A VET?? are yall nuts, hes not gonna operate, hes not gonna do stitches, all hes gonna do is pour some iodine in the wound and charge you a hundred and fifty bucks, Take Dr Ruxpins advice, use the same crap you would use on yourself, you want to kill bad bacteria, and cleanse the would, pour some peroxide or iodine on it to clean it, then smear triple antibiotic cream on the wounds, when you get up in the moring repeat process. make sure hes in a dark place with food and water so he can relax and sleep a lot

well, its been two days since the accident and he is still alive. we never took him to the vet, its hard to find one that deals with geckos in our area, and he's just been resting and walking around pretty good. he eats as good as he did before he got hurt and is staying pretty active still. im hoping everythings good, but time will tell.. thanks again for all the replies and help!

Not true if you shop around for a good vet. A vet trip for my ackie monitor and a weeks worth of batryl was around $50. A good vet will not simply pour iodine on a wound and then charge you, they will perscribe antibiotics for some thing as serious as a cat bite. Have you ever visted a good reptile vet?
