Hey we all started with goldfish at some point, most likely as a child. sure we have moved on to bigger and better things but tell me you dont all still have that little soft spot in your heart for them?

yeah, I had 2 when I was 3 years old. then things changed, I started to collect native streams for gobies and such and that still has a place in my heart now.
as for them being cool...well they're cool in their own right, however all goldfish are man made, from line breeding to get their, somewhat deformed traits which we find comical. if you think of it, lion heads, oranda are like tumors on their heads, and hunched back ranchu, and crazy eye celestial eye.
if i bred a dog and it had a tumor on its head, I would probably put it down instead of trying to find another of the same trait and breed it. or if i had an animal with a deformed beak, or lazy eye, the same. If I did breed dogs with lazy eye, tumor on head, with 2 tails, people would label me as a freak and burn me at a PETA gathering. Sorry for the rant, just saying
