Can't wait to see what you stock it with! Bichirs aren't my favorite, but if you like them, you should definitely go with them. Get some pics up when you get the fish!

just wanted to let you know that exodon's are not cichlids. They are a very very active predatory characin. They grow to 3-4" max length and are a shoaling fish. They love and or need to be stocked heavily.
