so true unfortuneatly. we were gonna put him out for stud but with more and more dogs getting abandoned because owners cant afford their care i dont want to help produce more puppies when there are plenty of other dogs that need good homes.
we are gonna look for a 2nd dog from the RSPCA or dogs trust after our March break. i want to try and help at least one dog. man if i was a millionaire i would pump so much money into my local dog home it would dwarf some businesses turnover.

he is bonkers btw. and he bounces like tigger, all four paws off the ground.

my daughters yellow lab has three legs...to save him from bone cancer.. he is doing great..the spirit in a lab is awesome... she is picking out a black lab pup this week...i will be going to the pound for my next dog... i too want to save one since i hear so many are being given up...

Bless you for not putting him up.. There are so many dying in shelters it's ridiculous.

a friend of ours has a friend that has to give up her dog due to divorce and we tried to see if Nero and him would get along. Nero like him but he didnt like Nero. the dog is 5 years old and has pancreitis so need a little bit of extra care in the food department, we were trying to save him from the kennels cos i know fine well that a 5yo sick (potentially anyway) cross breed aint coming out of a shelter alive.
If only the dog could have understood what we were trying to do so he would play nice with Nero and come and get the best medical care and life he could wish for cos we are in a position to care for a special needs dog financially.
that bummed me out.
