Will grow very quickly the first 20".

I have noticed that.
He was the same size as my other catfish(with the spikes on his side) when we got them.
Now he chases him around like he wants to eat him.

Just don't over feed the hybrid so you can try to control the growth of it. They do eat like crazy!! I used to have one that grew to about 22" but I have to give it away. nJUst too big for me at the time

Should be fine for 6 months. I had mine in a 75g for 9 months and it grew from 4" to 11" Then I moved my tank...let's just say live and learn after that.

I feed him chunks of beefheart and Canadian Night Crawlers 2 times a week.
