Yeah..mine is about 8". And he never ate live food in my care. I was feeding tilapia and market shrimp for a couple years. Now he is only wanting pellets! I'll try a smaller broken piece of massivore for good measure next time.

Breaking a few of them might do the trick.
 
Man you got some nice dats man they are looking good I hope I can get mine to be nice and big mine ate a small piece of massivore once but that's all I ever got into him he perfers frozen bloodworms how many dats do you have? So ITs grow fast huh?

Thanks Michael I have a total of seven dats.I think I could have gotten him to this size even quicker under better conditions.
 
The thing with me is I really don't need a lot of them but I've come across some nicely patterned indos that I couldn't pass up.If you are patient with them however many you get should all eventually become giants.
 
I've been guilty of just that in the past and I've sold or traded away some potential beauties...Strollo good to see you back in datdom.
 
Most that I've sold have been due to stability more than growth. I've been lurking and changing some stock around but Datnoids have always been a constant for me

I here ya and I got rid a few due to too much hiding or unstableness...I came home to a little setback this morning...one of my Kels was on the floor about five feet from the tank and far beyond being saved.
