It's right by the tail and it's white looks like the tail bone...I don't see anything growing in it beside the skin peeling off
 
I’m quite sure it’s okay. Skin on the barb could have been pulled back by something unintentionally, or the ray purposely stabbed something.

Yah hopefully it would heal up soon..yeah he is still active and eating so that's a little relief.thanks again
