no, platinum is different from albino, platinum bichir has black eyes, and the body color is pure white or sometimes more creamy. Where as albino has red eyes.
ear-thingy? do you mean the external gills? young bichirs do have external gills, and they gradually disappear as the bichirs grow. Those shown on the pics use to be longer than that, and will be gone soon.

lol, well there is noway that I can get my hand on WC bichirs since I live here in Asia, but there are platinum bichirs available around, so I suppose why not collecting them instead. We are also limited to some bichirs species, PBB, weeksii, teugelsi, and moke are not available here.

oohhh i see... that's so cool! haven't seen bichirs that young, but that'll be awesome! sorry calling it ear-thingy, I've read them somewhere but forgot what it's called lol. they're cute! makes them more monster-y

Really? Mine grew insanely fast. I purchased him/her just over 1" (barely) and now its 4" just over a month! I fed him/her shrimp pellets twice a day and now he/she is eating sinking carnivore pellets twice a day!
