Just thought I'd share a couple photo's of my Snakehead, believe he (or maybe she) is a Striata... maybe some of you will be able to confirm this, or even the sex? Anyway he is about 1.5 years old, loves to bury himself in the rocks, tries to attack my cat whenever she walks by (but not the other cat... like as if he knows which is which and doesn't like one). He also seems to recognize people; if me or my boyfriend walk up to the tank, he comes over as if he's saying hello, but a stranger he tries to charge at ha ha. If anyone has any comments, tips, or even maybe can confirm the behavior... or questions.. I'd love to hear them!image (1).jpegimage.jpeg

My Jardini tries to attack my dog as well, but is nice to everything in the tank with him.

Nice fish, wish we could have them down here.

This guy is housed by himself; we just have a small tank beside his for feeders, as he refuses to eat anything dead, sick or dying... I love this fish, he's pretty awesome to watch.

Thanks so much! the pet store we bought him from didn't realize until he arrived that he was such a mean fish (not a very smart pet store) can anyone give me some more information on the temperament, behavior, diet etc of this fish? and is anyone able to tell the sex?

I have no experience with african snakeheads. But there is a lot of info out there. Do a google, for instance Snakeheads UK..
