Origin: White Nile, Lake Chad basin, Zaire

Temperament: Predatory

Company: Parachanna obscura should not be kept with fish smaller than 2/3 of the species size.

Water parameters: Temperature 22-28˚C / 72-82˚F; pH 6-7.5

Feeding: Parachanna obscura will accept all live food and often frozen food.

Just to agree again it is a Parachana Obscura. Any full tank shots ?? Great to see another Channa Keepers in the maritimes!

Thanks, this is actually our first fish, he's pretty awesome haha and the shop we got him from doesn't actually carry them, they ordered him by mistake lol and we were lucky enough to scoop him up since nobody else wanted him.

Lucky find then!!! I'd still be very interested in what shop though, even if they dont carry them their supplier must if it ended up shipped in. I'd be interested in speaking with them to find out the supplier I'm looking for source for parachanna !
