If not, give it a try it can probably cure the channels in your lungs head.

I brought the algae tablets after seeing your post; my lung has been taking these for two days

but i would like to know the particular reasons causing the channels:screwy:
 
The channels are the lungfish version of Hole in the Head disease. The primary causes are improper diet and water quality. Keeping it in that unfiltered plastic tub is the reason why the channels formed. They will heak with good diet and clean water.
 
Be glad yours moves around, if I took a video of mine, you'd think it was a still photo.

Simon: I think it's really the nature of this fish, as he's hungry all the time and keeps searching for food most of the time in a day.
