Oh I agree they don't take nibbles out of aggression. Just curiosity bites. Most times it just grows back but sometimes they hit a spot where it's just permanent damage but nothing life threatening.
Had the privilege of seeing this guy in person. Thanks again, knob. I can only dream of having a mbu someday. all the fish were awesome. I think I now have my eye out for a blue eyed pleco...or my very own "matted sports car". Haha.

I'm monitoring the situation closely. He seems to like to nip anal fins and pectoral fins, not sure why. I've been feeding him 1-2x day til he is stuffed, but he gets curious at night time. I have been leaving a night light on in the tank, but I think I will try leaving the lights on 24/7 for a time.
If he doesn't improve his act, he will need to be rehomed.
So far, he has nipped large fish with big finnage. The RTGG and Kelberi bass have been bitten twice. However...he has not tasted anyone for the past 10 days or so. I'm hopeful that he has figured out no one in the tank is food, only the shrimp and clams I feed him!
