well here it goes its been sucessfull for me hope it helps you.

NOTE: this meathod only works if your fish have a instant striking action.

pic 1:
in pic one you see what im using
left; hikari small pellets (so they dont notice the pellets when they eat)
right; subra krill

pic 2:
well you see how i package the krill-pellet combo what i do is to try to put the small pellet's close to the center of the krill and then fold it into a more circular like shape. You dont want too put too many pellets in the krill as for they may reject them due to the amount you put i started small and added on more pellets over time. If your fish dont have a taste for pellets its very rare they wont be pellet eaters straight after the first couple feedings.

pic 3:
in this pic you see how to hold them so the pellets won't come out. simply take 1 krill-pellet combo and drop it in your tank, if you have multiple cichla this will increase the aggressive striking behavior during feeding making a higher chance at eating the food without rejections. it takes time but if your persistant you will be victorious.

pic 4:
this is what should happen if your suscessful when feeding :D

It took me 1week of 2time a day feedings to ween them off krill too full on pellets.

waw, nice. Never thought about it. :nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

What if my fish doesn't even take krill?? :screwy::screwy::cry::cry:

i use a similar method to get off live for fast striking fishes.

Throw in one feeder so it knows its feeding time; then throw in smelt/shrimp. eventually it will take. then from smelt/shrimp to frozen krills/pellets.

What kind of smelt/shrimp?

I've tried going on the route but my pbass don't care about shrimp even when it's alive

Very nice.. glad it worked for you
