my meathod on pellet feeding

I tried this method today, the smart little buggers ate the krill and spit out the pellets lol. My next thing is stuffing the silversides with bio gold. Wish me luck

how many did you put in the krill? cause too many might throw them off lol were feeding our cichla gourmet fish food they better be happy :ROFL:

Yeh they eat live and that's pretty much it. I tried putting in shrimp, worms, sticks and pellets but they don't go after it.
 
nice i really wanna try that with my growouts i would love for them to get on pellets you think i am better off trying it with like hikari food sticks, more shaped like krill, they surface hit anything at feeding time...

well until your cichla get the top water striking action then they prob wont go for anything else. try to limit the live to increase compition for food.

made some progress today literally threw a fingerful of pellets in before i gave any krills and all the bass hit it right away my 2 monos kept the pellets down but the orinos spit them up eventually.....
