On the topic of your pacu, do you have a 500 gallon tank? Am I reading that right? I have a pacu about that size all by himself in a 90 gallon. I've been looking to get him a buddy that won't get quite as big as he will, but all my attempts, specifically cat fish to help with the bioload have eneded in their mysterious disaperance. Did you start your pacu in the tank and let him grow, or did you start with all the fish at once?

Yes my tank is 500 gal.

If you have a 2 foot pacu in a 90 gal-For one transfer it to a bigger home..And stay away from tankmates until one can accomplish this...At least keep that water pristine and minimal feedings then in the 90 gal....Once again tank mates are not recomended...

My guy started in a 125 gal and moved to this 500 gal-Most of tese tank mates are new-But has grown with different specimens of the same species before....
