i like the 1st pic top left, although the flower is not much than other, but the colour and flower formation is good

This fish only 4&5 bands but the most yellowish.
May be I will sell it to my friend, too much fish in this tank.

how many inches are your middle size emperors? Ole'?
mine is going to 13 inch...and the colour are more yellowish...rather than black...

so how about those wild marulioides babies...would love to see the updates...

Of mine, 15-16" for Thai spec & 19" for Malaysian spec.
My juv wild caugth length are 6-12", some of them slow grow rate.

conclusion i would say that in terms of coloration (body & eyes) goes to the thai spec. flowers formation (not quantity of band) goes to the malaysian spec. thai spec banding likely not that wide and much compared with the malaysian thus flowers formation will be lesser
