Well recnetly my Ball python has had mites and i had to strip out his tank and remove his substrate and decor nwo he's been mite free for a week or 2 so ive added his aspen back and his favourite wood and he's much happier.

Don't jump the gun just yet...
Mite eggs and larvae take about 5-6 weeks to mature to adult size, and washing the cage and its contents sometimes can miss the eggs or larvae. So you wash the tank out, and then bam, a month later you've got more mites.
Without any kind of actual pesticide, it's going to be very difficult to get rid of them.
