Also maybe try some Sticks instead of pellets.. I had a Tem that went right onto sticks and got some mono's i had right on them as well..
My mono seems like its dying, what could have caused it?

lol a dollars worth of feeders? i bet your fish looks sunken in.. i do 6 day training, 7 at most. and tongue i agree with some of what you said. if you wanted you could feed your cichla every other day
