My monster Brackish tank!

Its not that we don't like it, the plain fact of it is, a 10gallon tank is not suitable for ANY of those fish even so much as by themselves right now. Not to mention all of them at the same time.
A responsible keeper doesn't super overstock a small tank just because he "is going to get a bigger one sometime". You have to know what kinds of fish can deal with the space you have now.
If you had a 30gal and had that many juvy fish in there to later put them into a 75g, say, that might be better and more understandable because they can grow in there.
However, none of your fish will survive long in that tank - period.
Also, by cleaning your filter itself, you're removing the very bacteria that is going to be the only thing saving your fish at all.
Honestly, I'd either get rid of most those fish until you have the room to house them, or get a bigger tank. And since I guess you can't do the ladder, I'd do the former.
Keeping them the way you are is just plain going to kill them all.

Are you aware of the fact that even though aquatic life (fish, inverts ect.) doesn't breath air or have fur to be petted like a dog, That it is still alive with all the functions of other life? Fish have brains and nervous systems and livers and everything else.... THEY FEEL PAIN. As in the pain of being crammped up like that. NO THAT WILL NOT HAVE TO DO!!!! Why did you get the fish before the tank? That is backwards man. That is like saying that I have 6 kids and they are living in a closet and eating only table scraps because I am saving up for a larger house and saving up $$ to buy food! Speaking of you don't have kids do you? And no, in this case.... Sharing is not Caring. but good try.
