so i have this male red zebra who was in my 55g with some blue johani and i picked up 3 christyi and thought it was ok to hold them in there for a few days while i got their home ready only to find out when i came in the next morning that this little dude had so rammed the largest christyi that it had a severe interal injuries and died that night the other two were really stressed out so i got them into one of my 75 g which is there home

ever since that time this little yellow dude became a monster constantly terrorizing the tank so one day i got so peeved with him that i threw him and the other juvi red zebra from my 100g into my 180g with the big boys

initially this is how the two reacted to the rehome in this manner

cowering from the monsters in the tank with them

but a crazy thing happened to my 180g i recently moved my 3 iri sharks to thier own 140g and as i was doing my wc last night i noticed this

the little bugger has actually coraled the 4 green terror juvi, 4 oscar and 2 pacu in the far right of the tank its absolutely insane i would have never expected this to happen

i think if i pull the ruins from the tank it will straighten him out some since then he wont have that to hide in

i am so tempted to give him either a trip to my red devil tank at home or to drop him in the zebra tilapia tank i have here both of which are inhabited only by the fish but i am sure that the devil would bite his head off in 2 second flat i dont know what the tilapia would do but im gonna move out the roman ruin decor an see if it makes a diff :irked:

Thats hilarious. Post what happens when you takeout the hiding places.

thats it the little bugger literally just ripped part of my plecs fin off im moving the decor and this tank is on red alert ill not have this common red zebra waste any of my other fish

ok so i took the decor out and now the stuff thats under the decor has been vacumed out with the syphon and i figure ok why not do a wc

here he is doin a charge on my pacus

this is my plec who he attacked

DSC05891.jpg

and i think actually the other zebra is a girl cause he was doin this vibrating thing an they would go around in circles
DSC05887.jpg

as soon as i pulled the decor here is what happened

DSC05903.jpg

everyone dispersed through the tank it was almost like the green terror did this circle him thing kinda funny

DSC05904.jpg

and the mighty rocky got really freaked

DSC05905.jpg

and hid in the rocks

ill have to really observe this close cause im not gonna have him be so anal in my tank

feel free to post any of your bad fish rules the tank stories would love to hear them

well i came back to the restaurant after a few hours away and the little bugger is still at it

so i will drop him in the 75g that is beside the 180 in the 75 is my full grown green terror and my three adult christyi

i just dont like the way he has my whole tank crowded to the 1/4 of the right side and im sure if i allow it to continue they will get majorly stressed if not damaged as he gets more bravado

ok so i just netted him and he is now in the 75 ill come back in a few hours to see how he is doing there is enough hiding spots that he should be ok and im pretty sure the green terror will not take any guff from him

ok so i took a few shots of the 75g and it looks to me like they have tuned him in but will ahve to see over the next week

here is his hiding place and the christyi was almost like i remember you now your in my world

and this is the green terror who rules this tank

so where is this red zebra?? all these pics and no pic of the zebra?? unless ofcourse you think the yellow one is a red zebra which it obviously isnt, its kenya, also mbuna require different tank params!! Plus wtf kind of person would want something bad to happen to his fish :screwy::angryfire:screwy:, if you had researched your fish before getting them then you wouldnt have this problem!!!!

if anyone deserves this you do :nutkick:

lol i didnt get the zebra part too?? but that is really funny he pinned all those ifsh up

very predicable though, kenya are one of the most aggro mbuna period, hence the need for a fishkeeper to research the fish he or she plans on keeping

This is why african cichlids should be kept with african cichlids. Especially mbuna a little research can go a long way
