yes they are from Japan but im not positive got them from a very old couple who could not take care of them. I think they are 9 years old.

I'd say they are closer to 24 inches since I use the same tubs as you and here is a pic of a 3 foot lung fish in one:

36 inchs is 3 feet, that would be a monster Koi, 24 inches is big as it is. No offence here either.

that is what the owner said but they do look like they are 3-foot ill them catch and see what they are exactly
