My Monster Matamata!!!

Hi, have a look at my Matamata. She's one year old now and growing fast!

She eats 10 Goldfish a day!

CRIKEY!!! Ain't she a beauty. Love that matamata smile.

I'd recomment feeding yours bait fish instead of goldfish. The copper used in breeding ponds can cause liver damage/failure in herps.

I've always liked Mata Matas. The only thing is...they can just sit there and get pretty boring. At least that's my experience. But I love the look and the smile.

It's making me want one

Just for you...here's my "little" pair hatin' life cuz I put them in this bin while their tank is being cleaned. The larger one on the left (female) is pushin 30lbs. They're fed on shiners and 10-12" shad I catch at the reservoir dam.
