My monster planted tank (maybe) build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have to agree with wyld on this one. You can't make a general statement about "plants".

If you are thinking amazon, I'm assuming you want plants from the amazon. If you've ever been there, there is a lot of subdued lighting (note, not all). So most of the plants are relatively easy to care for. You might even be able to get away with your existing fixture (granted to put in some bulb with color temps suited for plants).

I think it's Monga Bay that has some pretty detailed biotope descriptions that will set you up with fish, plants and decoration recomendations.

Thanks, found the site :)

look at all the different types, they break it down into things like SA Blackwater, SA White Water, etc etc which and has cool pics and stuff to boot.

Anybody know where I can get some good size mangroves (like 3ft or taller) in sunny San Diego?

TIA

I ordered some turtle grass and some manatee grass to complement

Now... Where to get small mangrove trees ~24" - 36" ..... hmmmmm.....
