So far, the only thing I have read in this thread that concerns me, was the comment on not changing water, only replacing. If you only replace water that is evaporating, the water in the tank will be come harder and harder over time. The nitrates will also get higher and higher. Some fish secrete growth inhibiting agents as well, which will likely cause growth defects or stunting in the long run.
