My mystery snails may be mating...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Holy crap, i found two more clutches on the lid(they were directly under the light). they looked old and moldy so i threw them away.

Why is it we have to assist the clutch by wrapping it in tissue? why can't they just hatch on their own?

Taking these steps will ensure more of them hatch by giving them humidity and not allowing them to drown.

I have hatched many eggs by just leaving them above the water line in a spare tank and watched many of them hatch, so you could leave it to nature or if you want as many as possible follow the previous directions. If you do plan on keeping these try not to clean the tank too well or if at all as the snails will feed on detritus in the tank.

There will be many, not all will survive.
