A lake chubsucker would be cool.

Crappie would be a god idea but I've heard that they are a major pain to convert them to pellets. If you want to do live feedings then go for crappie. Maybe add a bluegill?

Crappie are nice. They don't do much, just kinda of hang out. They also eat alot of feeders if you can't get them on pellets.

I love the pipe. That is really cool. The pump keeps the pipe entirely full of water? How neat!

I vote Crappie.

Kinda one of my favorite, so that's the way I lean....

Actually, the pipe stays full of water because it is air tight and only has openings under the water, the negative pressure keeps the water in the pipe. The pump is just to keep the water in the pipe from just sitting there and becoming stagnant.

what happens if the return water pump quits ???

Its just a powerhead in one tank with a tube that goes to the other tank on the output. If it quits the water movement through the pvc will stop, but wont hurt anything as long as I replace the pump within a reasonable time frame. The water flow is just to keep the water in the pvc fresh, so the fish like it more. It also allows the fish to know if I put treats in the tank they are not in, by smelling the water coming though the pvc or the tube.
