My Natives Crew in the new 125

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks you very much, the largest bluegills are the same length at 7 inches. They differ in height, Headshaker is the biggest. Big Blue has a small spot of black on near the pelvic fins. Headshaker has a large patch of black in the same area.

The blackness showed up after a major clash months ago. Even though Headshaker has the most black, he won the fight and Big Blue was clearly shaken up. Big Blue left Headshaker alone for a very long time. Of course Big Blue decided to challenge again and Headshaker was ready. Then I separated them to avoid injury. Now they are back together in a larger tank. We will see how it goes, I am preparing just in case.

Big blue is only 7"? Wow, my 8 3/4" female Blue doesnt look nearly as ripped as yours lol. Its in a 55 atm and soon (in the fall hopefully) will go into my first tank build, a 262 gallon aquarium! :D

that is a very amazing tank i love the bullhead

greta tank.. i am currently stocking a 120 with natives. im curious is there an advantage to not having any gravel or rock in the tank?

i see.. im not sure if its worth losing the aesthetics of the gravel though just for ease of cleaning.. my tank is the center piece of the room. maybe keeping fewer sun fish will work better for me. thanks.

These videos are what makes me miss my natives so bad. pretty glad to be going back to them this week. But what i'm keeping will remain a giant tease until i get it all set up.

Nuge, before I switched the tank to the 125, I had enough of the sandy mix that came from a local lake at the bottom. I only had enough to cover the glass. I will probably add the sandy mix again later. It had 5 freshwater clams that came with it. Off course they only lasted 2 days. I kept covering them up, when the bluegills kept uncovering them. The fish ate them.
