hey i bred these guys probably like 5 yrs ago or so. had them in a 40 tall. i had tons of eggs. they kept laying over a month period. got almost all to hatch. i started taking them out and putting them into a hatch tank. they wouldnt take blood works, water fleas (dry or live), brine shrimp. nothing but live fish would they go after. these guys are small. they would try newborn baby guppies but the heads were to big. i finally got my hand on some new born cichlids ( i forget what kind and i only got like 5) but they were a little smaller then the guppies. they were eaten right away. from that one meal the babies doubled in size and took the guppies no prob.....all the other fry died because of starvation but the ones that got the cichlid babies. unfortunately some kind of fungus went through the tank and killed the last few babies. i was so frustrated..... i ended up just taking my asian needle nose back to the pet store after having them only for 8 months.....i got video of the male fertilizing the eggs as the female dropped them somewhere.......from what i understand they havent been bred to much in captivity. good luck
