lol the work involved. But I got a crew of 13 and a few of them owe me big favors lately because of a big screw up. I think I am gonna do it I will keep you all posted. :)
sweet!

if you dig it a couple feet into the ground that would really insulate it! then you would never have to worry about it frezzing.

That is the plan I was also thinking to put some of that spray on insulation around the outside of it too.

Aqualife in Rocklin gets baby sturgeon in all the time. Not sure which part of Sac you're in, but it's certainly worth the drive. They're saltwater specialists, but they have some nice freshwater stuff too.

Ill look them up. Sounds easier and more predictable than catching my own. Come to think of it I have seen sturgeon at exotic aquariums in Sac

Yup. Exotic Aquariums rocks. Check out Aqua Culture on Belvedere in South Sac too. Aqua Culture has the absolute cleanest setup I have ever seen. Real nice staff too.

Sweet. The thing looks pretty damn good. I cant help but think it would be way sweeter if it were an in ground pool but maybe im getting spoiled. I am trying to think of a good safe way to keep the fish from jumping out so I can fill it all the way up :)

Sounds like a great project! Bird netting will keep fish in and predators (as well as leaves and other debris) out; you can use thin cables or lengths of bamboo to hold it above the water.

Check state fish and game regs before putting wild-caught fish in your pool. You could end up paying a hefty fine if you don't follow the rules exactly. If you buy fish that are found in the state, keep your receipts!

Also check out www.khoiphen.com/forums/ for lots of DIY pond filtration stuff; some of it may be applicable to your situation.
