My new 12 inch Red Aro with discus and Flagtail

I know it is a red, but it has alot of purple coloration does this mean it wont turn into a blood or chili red color?

yeah it says Red Ruby, I believe it is a veriety of blood red..

But reds are a gamble. Some dont ever become red like coke can. Also this has somekind of purple pink base.

Jaw looks fine, colour looks nice regardless of the trade name they give it. Given that you're in a fairly warm location I'd think about putting it in a big pond or tub outdoors for a summer, I'm sure you would see a good improvement in colour with some natural sunlight.

If i put a tub in the yard do you think it might get too hot ? I will have to monitor the water temps for a few weeks without the fish in i guess.
