My new 120g leaving me with questions

Yes, on my 300 I notice crap settles in the two back corner of the tank where I have rocks...they get cleaned out a little when my sunshine pleco goes in and out of his favorite spot. I just bought a couple of cheap underwater wave makers...I hope to aim toward the corner and I'll see how they work.
 
Let me know how that works... I was thinking two small power heads that bubble maybe. Put one in each rear corner and have them alternate once every hour or two so only one is on at once. Just an idea in my head. That coupled with a UV sterilizer somewhere in line with my Fx5, and maybe if that doesnt do the trick, another fx5 on the other side of the tank.
 
I found a deal local for a fluval 404 and two power heads for 120 all brandnew. But now im also toying around the idea of a sump full of bio media and a nice fine filter sock to help clean my water, plus a small area to keep some live crays. Opinions?
