My new 125 Gallon Cichlid Tank! (pics)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think the white sand looks better to me than black, but that is my opinion:) I love the white clean look with shell pieces mixed in with the argonite sand.

Just added: Electric Blue Ahli, German Red Peacock, Yellow Blaze, and a Ngara Flametail tonight bringing my fish juvinile count up to 17 Cichlids and 3 Pleco.

Lol my cats stare at that tank all day, and try and put their paws on the glass but can't for some reason catch anything:P

Waiting for my Nitrites to come down, then I can add more fish. My Ammonia levels spiked and are now down to 0, waiting on Nitrites now. Then hit the tank up with some more fish and a small water change:) Can't wait to see my baby cichlids which are only about 1-1.5 inches grow up:)

i hear u on the nitrate prob, knew a friend that mixed cichlids and barbs...bad idea. the ammonia from cichlids killd the tigers within a cuple days! love the tank tho...biggger the better :]

i like white sand more myself, but the texas holey rock really stands out with a blk background and blk substrate. great tank!

beautiful tank!!!!

so bright haha i would say add some small lace rock pieces to break up all that whiteness or move some plants to the foreground :)

Your thread is making convert one of tanks back to africans. I miss all the color and constant movement. Beautiful tank, glad you added a lot of rock. Africans need a lot of hiding spaces to curtail aggression a bit. thanks for the inspiration?
