Hey everyone. Thanx for all the input. I bought this tank used from a LFS. Tank, stand, filters, lights and even got a deal on the gravel for only 600. To good a deal to pass up. That was last weekend. I set it up with in 24hrs. I bought the slate at a local landscaping depot for 50 bucks. The slate is pretty easy to stack up. You just need to have all of it next to the tank and select the rock you think will go in the best spot. then just stack away looking for opportunities to creat caves and crevices for your fish to hide in. As far as worrying about them toppling over. Well I have had that happen in my other tanks but not very often and you can usually tell by placing the rocks if they are stable or if they are to wobbly. Usually picking a different rock to put in a spot solves the issue. I have had this tank for a bit over a week now and I love owning a big tank finally. Now to start selecting more fish to put in with the rest.
Again thank for the positive in put. Glad you all like it.
