they get like 12'', yea i'm going to get some lighting when i get some money, i didnt have that much money to work with thats why almost everything on my take is a DIY, the over for the tank and the wet/dry filter, everything els i brought, i spend 250 on the tank and stand and brought everything els

u dont need a lot of lighting. low watts.

I know how you feel about the light, I bought my tank for $450 and it had a 36 inch single bulb. Light shopping wasnt a fun experience when I figured out minimum price was $100 and for anything nice it was double that at least. Lucked out and got one for $150 on sale in one of those dumpy chain stores that normally dont carry supplies for anything over 36 inch tanks.
